Summer!
Wow! What a summer it has been. In May, Cameron and I went to visit the entire family, on both sides. First we made it to my mom's in Flagstaff, AZ. My brother Jay also lives there so we got to see both of them. They took us to the Grand Canyon, it was the first time Cameron has ever been there and it sure was a beautiful day, complete of course with great ice cream. Then it was onto Canton, OH where my mom's parents live. We stayed there for a few days and helped them all around the house. Cameron had a great time for sure!!
Next, we jetted to Oregon to visit my dad and his side of the family. Granny is always a favorite and her house is always open to anyone who stops by. We had a great time there helping her put bark in one of her garden areas. That was definatly more than either of us bargained for. Finally, last stop was Utah. There we saw Cameron's family (luckily they are all within a 10 mile radius).
We had a great time at every place, but I dont think we will be doing a two-week stint like that again. Here are some pictures from the adventure.

New Year's Day
Well, we drove to Homer because Fairbanks (where we planned on going) was too cold. The forecast called for -56 F and we didn't want to risk the car not starting in the morning. So we went to see the eagles in Homer courtesy of 'The Eagle Lady.'
She is an interesting piece of Alaskana herself, if you want to read more about her go to
We captured a few pictures of the eagles and we had a good day. Mt. Redoubt even peaked out.
New Year's Eve
